ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION

Objectives:
To promote and develop knowledge regarding trauma, attachment, dissociation and disorders associated with chronic traumatization.
To develop programs which focus on preventing traumatic disorders by raising the population’s awareness of the harmful effects of pornography, ritualistic abuse and various types of abuse ( neglect, physical, emotional and sexual abuse).
To raise awareness and educate the population and professionals from the educational, social and human services fields about trauma-related disorders.
To facilitate communication and cooperation among specialists in the field of mental health and other professionals on issues related to trauma and dissociation.
To develop and support national and international research programs in the field of trauma.
To design intervention programs for the categories of persons who run the risk of developing trauma-related disorders.
To promote collaborative projects in the field of education and intervention in trauma related cases on national and international levels.
To stimulate and support young professionals in writing papers or studies concerning various aspects of trauma.
To disseminate information related to trauma by means of various materials (brochures, posters, leaflets, computer software, etc.)
Other activities stipulated by law according to the Association’s aim.
